Kathmandu World Heritage 3 Days Tour

Day 01: Arrival at TIA (Tribhuwan Internation Airport) and transfer to the hotel.

After your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative from the company will take you to the hotel in Thamel by tourist vehicle. Then you will be given refreshment time with welcome drinks, after that the detail-briefing about the 3 days tour will be given on the hotel lobby.  Then after, taking a short break (depending upon the clients need), we will go to Swoyambhunath Temple ( known also as Monkey Temple) with English speaking professional tour guide. The temple is famous for the mixture of both religion Hinduism and Buddhism, so we can see both Hindu and Buddhist temples/shrines. This is a very popular and the finest viewpoint also for Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayas. The sunset view from here can be really beautiful. Then after, we will get back to the hotel.

Day 02: Full day sightseeing in UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Having breakfast, we will begin our tour from Patan Durbar Square. The city of beauty and grace with full of historical pagoda temples, wood carving, ancient Royal Palace with beautiful courtyards (Chowks) and Museums will be our tour attraction in Patan. Patan is also known as the live museum since we can local people running their life, the old people sitting on the benches on the lap of old palaces and outside in a typical Nepali and Newari dresses. The city is also very popular for metal art.

Bhaktapur will be our next destination after Patan. This city literally known as the city of the devotee is probably the most beautiful cities in Nepal with its wooden carving all through the old houses, palaces, Newari monastery and especially the red bricks. The small alleys (path in the city) it has, are amazing and really authentic.  The 55-windows palace, golden gate, Nyatapola temple, Pottery and Dattatreya are the attractions of our visit. There are also nice restaurants for lunch and the yogurt (king’s curd) is the most appreciated food here.

Visiting Bhaktapur, we will move to the thirst UNESCO Heritage Site called Pashupatinath Temple. This temple is the biggest and most visited Hindu temple in Nepal and one of the most important in the world for Hindu. The temple is a great sanctum with strong belief dedicating to Shiva( Pashupatinath) out of 3 major Hindu gods(Bramha, Vishnu and Shiva). The Hindu cremation on the bank of the holiest river Bagmati is another important site here. The cremation here is all like the public affair and it is open. From the preparation to the procession of the funeral to the cremation can be openly seen here.  All around, there are many temples dedicated to Shiva and Hindu priest, known as Sadhus can be seen painted on the face having a dead log hair. They might ask you for the photos with some donation.

The final destination is the largest Buddhist Stupa known as Boudhanath not far from Pashupatinath temple.  Just entering from the main road makes ones feel peaceful even looking such a huge stupa with the Eyes of Buddha.  The dome with the yellow smear seems really beautiful and makes us take many photos. We can spine the prayer wheels on the clockwise touring way. There are also Buddhist monasteries on its circle. We can visit one to see how the monasteries are and also for the rooftop view of Stupa. We can see also people lightening butter lamp as well.  After all, with all the serene feeling, we get back to the hotel. Taking a break, we will have a Nepali typical dinner in a traditional cultural restaurant sharing the experience of the tour.

Day 03: Departure after finished the sightseeing

After breakfast, we go for sightseeing in Kathmandu Durbar Square. This is the royal palace courtyard where all the royal crowing took place during the time of monarchy in Nepal. The house of ROYAL KUMARI ( living goddess). A young Newari girl is chosen as the living goddess and worshiped her by Hindus as well as Buddhist.  There are the beautiful courtyards, temples like Taleju (tallest temple here) and the palaces.  Depending upon the time if we come back to the hotel visiting most exciting Nepali local market Ason, Indrachwok.

Then we will transfer to the Airport wishing a safe and enjoyable journey ahead.
